The fibres can be converted into a wide range of superabsorbent SAF™ fabrics and SAF™ spun yarns. Distribution is uniform, resulting in consistent absorption performance. The creation of respirable particles is minimal during conversion compared to other superabsorbent technologies.

SAF™ is a non-irritant, safe to handle and is FDA/EFSA listed for use as an absorbent in food packaging. It can be blended with a range of synthetic and natural fibres. Due to excellent integration during conversion into fabrics and yarns, no adhesives or thermal-bonding treatments are required to keep the fibres in place.
